Update on the Pre-weathered kits

Dear Backers,

Thank you for patiently waiting for the updates. 

After rigorous testing we have decided to implement a change in the way the pre-weathered kits go together. 

In our campaign we showed that each panel of plaster had to be manually inserted using a jig to aid with alignment. What we realized was, is that this is a very cumbersome process that is hard on the fingers and also requires a certain amount of skill and experience to use.  It very quickly became frustrating to assemble, keeping in mind that most of the timbered buildings had more than 300 panels to insert. 

To overcome this problem , without losing any detail, we have implemented a system where the pre-weathered texture is directly rendered onto the surface of the inner wall that faces outwards. This results in a far more pleasant build with significant savings in time.

The panel on top is the old style where each panel of plaster was inserted one by one. The panel below is where the weathering is rendered directly onto the panel behind. 

Production Update:

A majority of the models have been transitioned from prototype to production ready designs with only a few pending. The new dual head machine has been on fire  producing the kits. Our team has been through quite a rollercoaster ride trying to keep up with it. We are so thankful to our hardworking design team who have brought us so far

The dual-head machine we integrated is fully functional now, and it has effectively increased our production capability. This enhancement in machinery is contributing to a more efficient workflow.

To manage the increased pace of production, our team has been expanded. This allows us to maintain the balance between production, quality checks, and packing processes, ensuring each aspect is managed adequately.

The production of our 3D-printed items is proceeding according to the timeline.

Furthermore, we have completed the production of Pro texture sets for the following models: Chapel, Barn, Rickety Arms, Cruck House, and Cow Shed.

Machine Calibration: We're happy to report that the setup and calibration of our new dual-head machine is complete. It's primed and ready to make your rewards a reality.

Production Update: While the machine is set, there is one more step to go before we commence production. We're now in the process of calibrating the design files for the new machine to ensure top-notch precision in every cut. This process is intricate and crucial for maintaining the exceptional detail and joinery of our models.

3D Printed Items: The production of our 3D printed items continues, and painting of the early bird rewards is on track.

We're back with another exciting update on the production progress of your rewards! As always, we're committed to keeping you informed about the journey toward the expected delivery date in November 2023.

Here's the latest from our production floor:

• Non-stop Production: Our production team continues to run double shifts on working days (6 days a week), ensuring that our machines are operating at full capacity to bring your rewards to life as quickly and efficiently as possible.
• New Dual Head Machine: The much-awaited dual head machine will arrive in just a week's time. We anticipate that once it's set up and functional, our production capacity will double, allowing us to speed up the process even more!
• 3D Printed Items Update: We're making steady progress on the production of our 3D printed items. While painting has been temporarily stalled (for early bird rewards), we plan to resume this process at full capacity very soon.

This is a friendly reminder that the payment processing will begin soon, and you will see the charge on your card statement in the coming days.

Please note that your shipping address will also be locked in. If you need to make any changes to your shipping address, please reach out to us as soon as possible, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

And as promised we have attached a graphic below showcasing all of the final unlocked stretch goal rewards. Please note that the funds raised in Backerkit (excluding taxes and shipping) were considered towards unlocking stretch goals.
